chef Nestor'S STORY

Chef Nestor Lopez is a first generation Salvadoran-American. His Parents came to Los Angeles from El Salvador during the Salvadoran Civil War (1979–1991). Growing up, Nestor learned the magic of Salvadoran cuisine by watching his mother cook traditional Salvadoran meals during the holidays for family and friends.

Over an expansive career in the Albuquerque community, Nestor has perfected the craft of his mother's El Chumpe sandwich: where the specialty spiced, roasted turkey takes center stage.
